Lamine Yamal, a 16-year-old, became the youngest player to represent the Spanish national team during their Euro 2024 qualifier against Georgia. He surpassed fellow Barcelona teammate Gavi, who also played for La Roja in the match. Yamal's age at the time of his national team debut was 16 years and 57 days, breaking the previous record set by Gavi, who made his debut at 17 years and 62 days in 2021.
