HDFC has increased interest rates on fixed deposits by 15 to 20 basis points effective May 12. For retail deposits ranging from 33 months to 99 months, the corporation offers interest between 6.65% and 6.95%. On Tuesday, Bajaj Finance raised interest rates too by up to 10bps on its fixed deposits for up to Rs 5 crore for tenors ranging from three to five years. Following the increase, deposits between three to five years will get a return of 7%.
